omg! is that not how the book goes? because I freaking Love Jem!

I’m at that awkward age where half my friends are engaged or having babies, and the other half are too drunk to find their phones.
Aside from it reminding me what a loathsome novel it is, Jess was really great in Jamaica Inn and I love continuing to watch her grow as an actress. She keeps doing these period pieces and it worries me that with every passing role, she has cemented herself in that genre. But then she finds a way to breathe new life into these characters. She acted beautifully. And for a moment, I was forced to believe she actually does love Jem. Only for a moment though. Because, like, yuck.
To all of the Mary Yellan’s of the world: you are better than that.
